Project Life 2014, Weeks 17-19

Hello again! I have been working hard to catch up my 2014 album, so I have some more pages to share with you! First, I wanted to show the insert from my Week 16 pages that I had to wait on - this was an insert I made using my May Take 10 kits. I love the way it worked so well with my Easter pictures!

Now, on to weeks 17-19! My goal for these pages was to use up as much of my Studio Calico kits as possible. I love the kits, but I just don't find myself using as much of them as I thought. I sold some of the cards and embellishments that I just could not see myself using, and I cancelled my subscription. I figure I can buy what I like from the shop and swap groups I am part of on Facebook - which is what I was doing before I started subbing. I am really liking my Take 10 kits, and now I am going to sub to Citrus Twist Kits. I love, love, love their stamp sets, and I have watched a few videos on YouTube of people using their kits, and they are so cute! Lots of embellishments, which is right up my alley! I have plenty of cards...

So, now the pages:

Week 18:

And week 19 - I was trying to use up some of my alpha stickers with this one:

Catching Up - Project Life 2014, Weeks 9-16

I have been working on both my 2014 and 2015 albums at the same time in an effort to get caught up and stay caught up! My 2014 album is much simpler, because I am really just interested in getting it DONE! It also gives me a chance to use some of the kits I don't use very often, as my style has really changed since I started purchasing kits. So here is my 2014 album, weeks 9-16!

Weeks 9 and 10: I believe this was a mix of the Happy core kit and some of my Studio Calico cards.

Week 11, left with a couple of  inserts:

Weeks 12 and 13:

Week 14:

Week 15:

Week 16 with inserts - there is one more insert for this week, but I will be sharing that in a blog post on Monday for Take 10 Kits!

Whoa! That was a lot of pages! Thanks for looking!

Project Life 2014 - Weeks 6, 7, & 8

So I think I mentioned in a previous post that I was going to try working simultaneously on my 2014 and 2015 albums instead of always being a year behind. I have done a pretty good job of keeping to that idea, although I have been better about doing my 2015 album. My original plan was to do a week in 2015, then do the same week from 2014. I got a little excited to get caught up on 2015, and did weeks 6-10. I decided to go ahead and pull out my 2014 pics and get those caught up too. Yesterday, I worked on weeks 6, 7, & 8. I combined weeks 7 & 8 because I just did not have a lot of photos besides Valentine's Day. I really did not decide to commit to true weekly layouts until about April of last year, so I was not very good at making sure I was taking pictures most days. Anyways, on to the pages. Here is week 6:

I used a hodgepodge of cards and embellishments for these pages. I had some leftover cards from a Paper Issues swag bag, so I used some of those, and I still have cards from my Studio Calico double scoop kit. I have enjoyed getting a little more creative with my 2014 pages, because I am not committed to using one kit, like the Project 52 with my 2015 kit. I had a couple of extra pictures of the girls ice skating, so I used a flip flap to add those to the layout:

Weeks 7 & 8:

These two pages came together in about 15 minutes. I had so many Valentine's Day pictures! I did realize that I forgot to journal about the bottom middle picture, so I did add a label and some journaling about that one. The cards for these pages came from the Happy core kit.

That is all I have so far of my 2014 album, but I might sneak down into my craft room later today and work on some more of my 2014 pages since I am all caught up on 2015. Let me know if you have any questions about the products I used or my techniques!

Project Life 2014 - Weeks Four and Five

So our snow day was quite productive. I managed to complete week four of my 2015 album (see previous post), and I also completed weeks four and five of my 2014 album! We are snowed in once again today, so I am going to try and complete week six of my 2014 album, and maybe get started on our Disney album. I really want to do week five for my 2015 album, but the pics are still at SAM's, and I am NOT going out in the snow for them, lol!

Onto the pages. I recently purchased the Studio Calico Double Scoop Project Life kit, so that is what I used for these pages. I am really trying to use what I have right now, and I am limiting my scrapbook purchases to embellishments/ephemera. I am not in need of anymore cards or stamp sets! Here is a pic of the kit:

What I was mostly after in that kit was the Pebbles alpha roller stamp. I purchased the entire kit for $10, shipped, which was less than the stamp alone on Amazon! I do love the entire kit though. The colors are beautiful, and those wood grain sequins are really fun! I added a few bits from my stash, along with some stamps. I did not have a whole lot of photos from these two weeks, so a full page and an insert were all I needed.

Thanks for looking!

Project Life 2014

So I finally have had some time to work on my albums! Between last Saturday's crop at church and a little time spent here at home, I finally completed 2013! Woo hoo! I also got a good start on 2014. For my cover, I used the Amber core kit. Here is what I have so far -My cover:

Weeks 1 & 2 left plus an insert - mostly the Project Life Seasons mini kit, plus some CTMH Snowhaven paper and embellishments:

Weeks 1 & 2 right plus an insert:

Week 3 left- mostly the Aqua core kit, plus a hodgepodge of embellishments from my stash:

Week 3 right:

Today I am home with a sick kiddo, so I have started Week one of 2015. Hopefully I will have a post about that later!

*I linked my Weeks 1 & 2 over on the Paper Issues blog for their New Issue Monday link and win - this week's theme is Say it Ain't Snow Cold Outside.
