Life Zesters March Challenge - Project Life 2015 - Week 10

If you have not had a chance to head over to the Life Zester's blog - you really should! This month's challenge is a color challenge, and when I printed my week 10 photos, I knew this was the week I would use for the challenge. My photos already had lots of pink, yellow and aqua, and the Week 10 title card just happened to be yellow - perfection!

I sorted through all of my Project 52 cards, pulling the cards with yellow, pink, and aqua. Next, I went through my embellishments and pulled the matching colors. I also wanted to add a touch of gold to these pages, so those embellishments were also added to my tray. I love how the pages turned out! Week 10, left:

And the two pages together:

I had so much fun participating in this challenge! I am a little sad that our spring break is almost over, I really did get a lot of crafting done, but I do have two Saturday crops coming up! Let me know if you have any questions about the products I used or my techniques!

Project Life 2015 Week Four - and a Life Zesters Challenge

We are snowed in today, so of course I took the opportunity to catch up on my Project Life! I completed my week four as part of the February Life Zesters Challenge - WOOD. I dug through my whole stash finding every bit of wood I could find that fit for this week. Wood veneer pieces, wooden sequins, and wood grain embellishments went onto my tray along with other bits of ephemera, stickers, and enamel dots. I used my Project 52 cards and paper pad for these pages. The embellishments are a random assortment from my stash. I dug out my stamps again, I really love what they add to the cards. Sorry folks, this post is picture heavy! LOL. Here is week four, left:

And some close ups of the wood pieces I used for this page:

And week four, right:

The x's are my neighbor's kids, the page does not really look like that :) And some close-ups of the wood elements on this page:

I had fun with this month's challenge! I still have some more pictures from our road trip to scrap, I think I will be making an insert for those, then I will move on to doing week four of 2014. Maybe if I get a ton of motivation, I will pick up my week five photos from SAM'S Club, and get REALLY caught up! I just love these unexpected days off. Let me know if you have any questions about my techniques, or products I used!

Project Life 2015 - Week One - done!

My unexpected day off was quite productive! I got some housework done, but I also finished my week one for my 2015 album! To see my 2015 cover post, click here. This past year has been all about finding my style. As I have transitioned from traditional scrapbooking to pretty much all Project Life, that has changed a bit. I think these pages show what type of style I like. I definitely do not shy away from embellishments, and I definitely love brighter colors! I love to layer and add dimension to my pages, whether traditional or Project Life. I am going to try and use mostly my Project 52 Core Kit for this year's album, though I am sure I will stray now and again! Here is Week One:

I recently found a new blog called Life Zesters, a Project Life Challenge blog, and created these pages with their January challenge in mind - Show Us Your Style! Check them out, their design team has a lot of great ideas for all styles of Project Life!

Hope you enjoy these pages, please let me know if you have any questions about products I used or techniques!
